Delay Lama has got to be one of the most fun plugins to use, especially since it is free. It offers both vocal synthesis and a real time animated interface. How awesome is that?
With a little work, you can make it do some really amazing things.
It might not be useful in every-day studio work, but it sure is fun.

It appears that this plugin has been taken over by Koblo and is (sadly) no longer available, and I think it is a crying shame.
This is was one of the coolest and most useful free synths on the market.
Highly recommended if you can still find it (“Seek and Ye shall find” ). Current version last I checked was 1.1r3
